Visit our luxury Chapel Holiday Home for a wonderful holiday surrounded by countryside and scenery.

The chapel is fully furnished and designed to make you feel at home, whatever the season.

We are only 6 miles from the gastronomic medieval town of Ludlow, which is the jewel in the crown of south Shropshire, and Stokesay Court where the film ATONEMENT was made starring James McAvoy and Keira Knightley is only a short journey away.

The former Stoke St Milborough Primitive Methodist Chapel was erected in 1842. Services ceased in 1972. It is a listed building and has been converted into a self-catering luxury holiday home. Please explore the site and discover the unique experience we provide.

The luxury accommodation also serves well for bridal parties before a South Shropshire wedding.

The surroundings allow for wonderful wedding photography and the beautiful Stoke St Milborough church is only approximately 500 yards away.

There are many local restaurants or even hire the Village Hall for your reception. Claude and Wendy Bodenham would be more than happy to assist with arrangements and provide local advice.

We have Wi-Fi but only works in certain areas of the Chapel. We are working on a better reception and guests can have the use of our summer house where there is perfect reception free of charge.

The Surrounding Area

Stoke St Milborough is situated on the beautiful Brown Clee Hills of South Shropshire, a walkers paradise and is only 6 Miles from the Medieval Town of Ludlow, complete with a Norman Castle, St Laurence's Church where A. E. Housman is buried and more than its fair share of listed buildings. One of the finest examples of Georgian architecture is Broad Street.

There is also boating on the river Teme and beautiful walks over Whitcliffe. Ludlow is famous for its locally produced food and you must pay a visit to our local butchers.

More recently Ludlow has become famous for its restaurants  and its renowned Food Festival, where visitors can sample and enjoy all the fine produce of the area.

Other attractions within easy driving distance include Church Stretton and the Stretton Hills - Bishops Castle - Secret Hills Discovery Centre, Craven Arms - Stokesay Castle, Craven Arms - West Midland Safari Park - Severn Valley Railway - Acton Scott Working Farm Museum - Ironbridge George Museum - Hay on Wye, which is a must for book lovers - Within easy driving distance are the Brecon Beacons and Welsh Hills - Powis Castle and Gardens - Welshpool and the Elan Valley Dams.
